Cloud Computing & Salt: The Antidotes for Snow
It’s mornings like this that, to me, affirm the beauty of cloud computing.
A blanket of powdery snow landed upon the Washington, D.C., area last evening, causing school children to rejoice — and everyone else to fear the roads. And really, why risk it when you don’t have to?
Cloud computing not only makes association management software easier, cheaper and more reliable than desktop software — it makes it mobile. When you’re out of the office (be it because of an event, sickness or snow), you still have direct access to your most important resources. E-mail, CRM, accounting, events, e-Commerce — it’s all still at your fingertips, providing the real-time information you need to conduct your business from wherever you are. (And on a day like today, I’m hoping that’s by a fire, hot chocolate in hand.)
