Just ask the American Gas Association.

With only 80 staff providing a range of programs and services to more than 200 member companies representing 64 million customers, AGA relies on Avectra’s association management software to manage its complex needs given a relatively limited number of staff.

With more than 30 modules, Avectra’s netFORUM Enterprise provides AGA unlimited management and control over all of its operations. But after years spent managing registration for countless member events held throughout the country, what AGA desired most was self-service e-Commerce functionality to put registration back in the members’ hands.

 

“Allowing our members to register online cut down on a lot of the transactional work that was consuming our time. It was strategic for us,” said Jim Linn, AGA’s managing director of IT. “People are accustomed to doing their own transactions online, and they really see it as being empowered. It saves our members from having higher dues by cutting down on staff time, and it’s allowed us to continue to operate with a limited amount of staff.”
